A little about me...
I'm an entrepreneur in the beauty industry, obsessed with DIY projects, personal development, and empowering women to live their fullest lives. After nearly a dozen moves, I'm proud to put down roots in the South.
My deepest hope is that you find something here that encourages you and inspires you to live life as your bravest self. That this will be a space for you to learn, connect, and grow. A space that celebrates beauty - inside, outside, in the little things, and in the big things. I have a calling on my heart to help women build their confidence by learning new skills, by conquering fears, and by facing the giants that too often keep us quiet. I want to create a community where women lift each other up, connect, and support each other on their journey to become the best versions of themselves. I believe confident women change their lives, impact their families and change the world.
I’ve been married to the love of my life for the past 12 years. My husband is endlessly supportive and somehow knows the right thing to say in almost any situation. He has kept me laughing as we’ve moved around the country for his military career. Four years ago we transitioned from the military to civilian life. We traded snow boots for a little humidity when we planted ourselves in the south. Would you believe we even convinced my mom, step-dad, and grandma to follow us here as well? We’re building a life that’s full of family and fun. We have family night every Friday and we jump at the chance to get to spend time together at our home, at the cottage or at the lake.

I’m a mom of two great kids who teach me more about myself, the beauty of the world and the power of imagination every day. Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful, yet challenging journeys I have ever embarked on. It’s a journey that keeps me on my toes and one that constantly requires that I grant myself grace.

Professionally, I’ve been building my direct sales beauty business for the past 13 years. I love helping women feel confident in the skin they’re in, and offering skin care solutions and makeup application tips. I absolutely love having personal relationships with my customers, getting to know them and am so grateful for their support of our family. I entered the DIY world with a rude awakening seven years ago. Now I'm an avid DIYer, organizer, and habitual list-maker. We purchased our first house as an extended flip to live in while we were at our last station with the military. I quickly learned first hand how to fix things around the house, mainly because they usually broke when my husband was away for duty! I also learned which of my husband’s shoes were best for smashing cockroaches (which also magically appeared while he was on duty)! A few years ago when we put down roots at our forever home, I learned how to use power tools. Surprisingly, that skill (along with my beauty biz) is something that helped build my confidence. DIY has been a fun outlet to take something from imagination to creation in my spare time. With ten moves under my belt, my decorating and organizing skills have become refined over the years. I’ve learned a lot about packing (and unpacking), decorating, and managing all the STUFF we accumulate. And yes - I’ll be sharing some tips and tricks I’ve learned on the blog.
You may think I’m crazy, but I’m usually up at 5am for my quiet reading time! This is a practice that sat on my goal list for years but eluded me on a regular basis until recently. My quiet time has been an essential part of growing deeper in my faith, diving into personal development, and a newfound commitment to become the best version of myself in the process.
If I had to choose 5 words to describe myself, they would be: tenacious, resilient, strong, caring and thoughtful. I truly enjoy encouraging others and have a heart for service. That passion to serve others is what brings me here, to my little corner of the internet. Hopefully my experiences, life lessons, DIY projects, and perspective will be helpful to you. This project is one I've had on my heart for a long time. After having what I thought might be the last conversation ever with my dad before his high-risk surgery, I paused to ask myself if I was living life as the bravest version of myself? Or, if I was leaving some of my gifts and talents on the shelf to collect dust? After a lot of personal reflection contemplating if I was living my bravest life, I knew what I had to do: finally let this project that had been brewing for the past four years see the light of day!
